Anyone read " A Fraction of the Whole?

Book club is doing "A fraction of the whole" by Steve Toltz. Anyone read it? I would be interested to hear any views if you have I'm 3/4 way through.

Do babies still wear booties?

I've just finished these baby booties, but realised that the baby in question will be far to hot to be wearing them now! By the time the weather cools he will have much bigger tootsies.
Anyway are babies even allowed to wear booties with ribbon ties? I'm going to give them anyway. I loved knitting them so much I might even do another pair. Surely someone will have a cold footed baby in the winter. The pattern is from a Free Ravelry download from Kathie Popadin

To Match or Not To Match?

I have made my first matching set. Amber Blossom Earrings to match necklace.
Saying that, I am not a fan of anything matching really. I quite like separate chairs rather than 3 piece suite and I shudder at matching bedlinen and curtains. However I know I am in the minority so matching jewellery it is!
ps I don't mind it if my socks match!

Beading in the sun.

I made this hot pink necklace at the Madison's Beads Monday night bead club. I was going to put it on Folksy for sale, but decided to keep it.

Instead I made Amber Blossom sitting in the sun, as my daily listing.

Turquoise Sea Blossom Necklace

I meant to make a bluer necklace, but this came out more tuquiosey but I really like it.

My First Folksy Friday

Here it is, my very first Folksy Friday. I have chosen some of my favourites from those people who are doing the Mad Mayhemmers daily listing challenge.

Making my own jewellery findings.

I have been experimenting with making some ear wires. I've got some silver wire but have been trying out on some cheap wire to see what I can do. I think its a course and some better tools i need, but I'm quite pleased with the results, even if i wouldn't put them in my ears.
