Turquoise Garland Necklace

Just working on this turquoise garland necklace, so here is the work in progress.

Very cold this morning,the central heating has broken down, the whole control box fell off the wall! I have been waiting since Tuesday for the electrician to come and fix it. Rant, rant, rant. He is supposed to have come at 8.30. How can I do any beading or knitting in this chilly atmosphere. Just listened to Desert Island Discs It was Frank Cottrell Boyce

New Banner for my Folksy Shop

I've been trying to do a new banner for my folksy shop by editing some of my necklace photos. This is my best effort. I think its a bit too lilac.

Jeny's super stretchy bind off.

Have just finished bamboo sock and listening to episode 88 of Cast On podcast the other day found out about Jeny's super stretchy bind off. I usually use a sewn cast off so I thought I'd give this a go. Its really good and super stretchy. Neat as well. Cat Bordhi has done a video tutorial on You Tube

Blue Angel Earrings

Yeasterday I had a change and made some earrings using some blue acrylic beads which are too large for the garland necklaces. They make lovely light earrings and use sparkly swarovski crystals.

Heres another garland necklace, this one is Purple Hellebore Garland Necklace.

This is the Dragon Blossom Garland Necklace on my new cardboard necklace display stand. It is going to save me a fortune on models fees. ( 20p a photo to daughter!!) I am going to cover the display stand in some sort of soft white fabric.

Here are my latest socks, they have come out quite big as the 4py wool is nearly a DK. Luckily they are for big feet.

Just got to do the fingers

Just updating my Ravelry. I have got to finish these gloves, They were just a try out for the pattern which came from a website called Free Vintage Patterns.

I have used rubbishy Lidl wool which shrinks but I don't suppose I'll wear them much, They are a good pattern and I'm going to start knitting them again in nicer wool.

Folksy Badge

Finally managed to get the folksy badge on my page. I'll have to sort out the heading some other time. This blogging is harder than you think. Oh yes and i changed the time zone. Go me!
I'm going off now to make a lovely purple and green necklace.
